The course will begin on Sunday October 11th at 12pm Pacific/3pm Eastern Time (1pm for me in Mountain, and 8pm for people in Western Europe, 9pm in Central Europe) – though please note daylight savings time adjustments. Classes will be held on Zoom and will be recorded and made available for participants, along with a summary (so if you can’t make one of the classes, you will still get the recording and summary). Classes will each be 90 minutes.

The suggested fee is $325, which is for the entire course. However, I’ve decided to make these classes donation based to be maximally accessible. On my Store page is a Pay Pal box, where people can enter any $$ amount. Each individual class will be open on a drop-in basis as well, so people can attend based on their availability and interests.

It is assumed that students will have a beginner’s knowledge of astrology (planets, signs, houses, etc.) as the basics will not be covered. From an understanding of the basics, we will explore this progressive approach. Each class will have a lecture segment as well as a chart application (and students who are interested in having their chart as an example can submit their birth information, though I can’t guarantee time for all of them).

This class is an Introduction, a series of only 7 classes. I intend to offer a continuation class after the New Year for those who want to deepen their studies. In addition, I will likely also offer this series again (for those who can’t make this class and new students too). Below is a brief description of each class:

10/11 — Class #1: Introduction & The Astrology of Spiritual Awakening

The core of this progressive approach is to understand the Sun and Moon in terms of awakening, increasing awareness, mindfulness and presence (instead of the usual focus on personality, gender or parents). The Moon and Sun are seen in terms of matter and energy, the foundation of our humanness in physical, biological form (Moon) and the development towards a more enlightened (Sun) way, like a seed (Moon) growing into a flower (Sun).

10/18 — Class #2: Exploring the Transpersonal

“Good” and “Bad” are relevant to our personality desires (within the Saturnian material realm), but there is more to life (including alignment with soul). How can we move beyond the limitations of “good & bad-ism” in astrology? How can we integrate with the transpersonal? What are the astrological implications of the quantum revolution, Einsteinian relativity and the uncertainty principle? How can astrology update and modernize consistent with the current knowledge base?

10/25 — Class #3:  Evolutionary Astrology & Reincarnation

The development from immaturity and unconsciousness (the spiritual childhood) towards broader wisdom, maturation and awakening plays out over the course of many lifetimes. How can we understand an astrology chart in terms of this broader trajectory? Can we really know someone’s karma? What is truly available in the symbols, and what is conjecture? This class will put forward a unique evolutionary approach, a tested and reliable methodology for understanding spiritual development and the specific soul intentions seen in a chart.

11/1 — Class #4: Elements & Evolution

Based on my book Elements and Evolution, this class will offer cutting edge information on reconceptualizing the elements in an entirely new way. By including another dimension of “charged” (water, fire) & “neutral” (earth, air), we deepen our understanding of every planet, sign and house. Additionally, evolution can be understood as a trajectory of growth from the ground up (earth/physical, water/emotional, air/mental, fire/spiritual), a liberating channel from personality attachments towards soul realization. Also, a manifesting channel is also operable in reverse, from the top down – how soul is manifesting through us (and much more about that in the Heliocentric class).

11/8 — Class #5: Astrological Progressions & Spiritual Development

A central astrological technique to track our developmental curriculum is found in progressions. I am currently completing a book titled, Seasons of the Moon, which is mainly focused on the progressed Moon. We will discuss our emotional maturation (progressed Moon) in a couple ways – the “season” of life we are in at any given moment (as seen with sign, declination), and the progressed Lunar cycle.

11/15 — Class #6: An Introduction to Heliocentric Astrology

It turns out that Geocentric astrology is only half the story (though almost all astrology is from this perspective). It is relevant to personality and its development, a focus on liberation and awakening. Heliocentric astrology has an entirely different scope, that of soul manifestation and our collective development. In particular the Heliocentric planetary Nodes are a fascinating depiction of our collective curriculum of resolving Patriarchy and moving towards the promise of the Aquarian Age. Heliocentric Astrology will be a significant part of the continuation course next year for those who wish to deepen their understanding.

11/22 — Class #7: The Urgency of Now

Here in 2026, the current astrology is focused on paradigm shift, the transpersonal and the future. Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius are all in aspect to each other, what I am calling the “Triangle of Spiritual Responsibility.” Our present work is to dismantle our collective complicity with Patriarchy (and its focus on wealth and domination, our fealty to those in charge) and to take individual responsibility for the unique trajectory of our spiritual development. How can we understand this moment in history, and what might be ahead if we pass the test? This class will address the importance of Pluto in Aquarius, a major challenge for us to open to the Aquarian Age later on this century.
